General Information

1. Who is Tix City?
Tix City is part of a ticket marketplace, known as TicketNetwork, that provides buyers access to thousands of sports, family show, concert and theater events throughout the country. Tix City has been in the ticket business since 1981 and is based in Edison, NJ. Please note, Tix City is not affiliated with Ticketmaster or any other box office or venue.

2. Where do the tickets listed on TixCity.com come from?
TixCity.com operates as a marketplace for tickets. Sellers include firms, box office promoters, licensed ticket sellers, and individuals like you with tickets that they don’t need. Sellers use the Tix City online exchange to list their extra inventory. When a customer orders tickets on our website, the order is then filled by the ticket seller who listed them.

3. What types of payment do you accept?
Credit Card
We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Tix City is fully PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliant. The billing address will be verified with your credit card company so you must use the exact address where your statements are sent.

Cash
Cash will only be accepted in person at our office.

Personal Check
Tix City does not accept personal checks.

4. Is my transaction safe?
When you shop at TixCity.com, you can be assured that you are conducting a safe transaction. We have worked hard to make sure our website is PCI Compliant. We also stand behind our 100% Guarantee, which promises that you receive exactly what you paid for or your money back.

6. Does my child need a ticket if they are under a certain age?
Tix City is not directly affiliated with any venue or box office, so we recommend customers contact the venue directly to confirm their policies and receive further information.
Ticket necessity for children's admission varies from venue to venue. If buying a ticket for a child, please contact the venue before placing an order to determine the quantity of tickets to be ordered.

Ticket Information

1. How do I search for tickets?
On the top of every page on TixCity.com there is a search box. Simply type the name of the performer, team, or venue in the search box, then click "Search" and a list of events will be displayed. Once you find your desired event click "View Tickets" and all available ticket selections will be displayed.

2. Will my seats be together?
Tickets are guaranteed to be together, unless the seller’s notes say otherwise. If tickets are listed in a general category, zone, section, or row, we guarantee that they will be together. Examples of these sorts of notes are: “Zone A,” “Section 200,” “Row 12,” etc.

However, sometimes the notes say something like “Section 2, rows A-Z” or “Section 2, Rows A and B, piggybacked” which lets you know that the seats may not be together. If they are “piggybacked,” it means one seat is in front of the other, but in 2 separate rows.

3. Why can't I purchase a certain quantity of tickets?
Sellers prefer to list tickets at least in pairs so as to increase the chance that they’ll be able to sell all the tickets in a listing. Entertainment events are social occasions that people usually attend with friends or family. Single tickets are very hard to sell so sellers try to avoid being stuck with them.

4. Why aren’t seat numbers listed for the tickets?
Ticket sellers don’t list seat numbers to prevent double-booking tickets. Because transactions on TixCity.com take place in real time, it is possible for a set of tickets to be purchased at the exact same time by two different individuals. In order to prevent this confusion, ticket sellers instead list general rows and sections. They often have several groups of tickets, so if multiple orders come in, they can successfully fill them (without anyone getting upset or disappointed!).

5. Why is there someone else’s name on my ticket?
The name on the ticket will be the name of the original purchaser. Therefore, your name will not be on the ticket purchased through Tix City. However, please note that the name on the tickets will not affect your ability to access the event. The most important aspect is that the bar code on the tickets scans when entering the event.

6. What happens if my tickets are lost or stolen?
Tickets are generally one-of-a-kind and cannot be replaced or reprinted. The purpose of such restrictions is to prevent ticketing fraud via multiple printings of the same ticket. Regardless, customers should contact Tix City to see if it is possible to replace lost tickets.

7. What is a Paperless Ticket?
Paperless tickets aren’t like traditional paper tickets, and they don’t involve having a physical ticket in hand. Instead, these tickets require the ticket seller to accompany you to the venue’s box office. Our ticket listings will indicate which tickets are paperless with notes such as “I will be attending the event, and will accompany you to the box office at the venue.”

8. What is a Flash Ticket?
Flash tickets are a new innovation used for ticket distribution by event promoters. Customers with “flash” tickets access their tickets by swiping a credit card (the one used for the original ticket purchase) at a venue kiosk. This kiosk will then print out a ticket receipt that the event goer can present to venue personnel as a means to gain entry to the event. Before purchasing any seats listed as Flash tickets, we recommend calling us with any questions.

Delivery

1. Who does TixCity use to ship tickets?
We ship all tickets exclusively via FedEx. Shipping via FedEx is secure and safe for both the ticket buyer and seller. Shipping through FedEx and requiring a signature allows us to ensure that the tickets we sell have arrived to the proper recipient, and ticket buyers can track the progress of the package.

2. Will I be required to sign for my package?
Yes, you will be required to sign for your package. This is to ensure that the tickets we sell have arrived to the proper recipient and not left out in the open for anyone to take.

If you will not be able to sign for your package, please call us immediately at 732.767.1100 to arrange alternate delivery options.

3. Can I have my tickets shipped to a PO Box?
No. Tix City uses FedEx for all deliveries. FedEx does not deliver to PO Boxes.

4. How can I track the delivery of my tickets?
Please visit our Track Order page to track your package.

5. When will my tickets ship, and how soon will they arrive?
We often make tickets available before they have even been printed, which gives customers an edge on getting great seats in advance. Because this sometimes happens, tickets may not be “in hand” at the time of purchase.

Seller notes often indicate when an order will ship (at the latest), so customers know when to expect their tickets. They may also note that tickets are “in hand,” which means they can ship immediately. After your tickets have shipped, you will receive a FedEx tracking number, so you may track your purchase.

Pricing and Fees

1. Why is the price on my tickets different than what I paid?
Generally speaking, Tix City resells tickets at a price that reflects the market, and prices often rise and fall with supply and demand. The result is that tickets on our website are often sold either above or below face value.

In addition to the market value fluctuating, we often have a large number of expenses to cover in order to get our hands on great seats. We often must pay face value, plus fees (or membership fees to special clubs), and sometimes stand in line for hours to get the best seats available. By marking up the tickets, we make a small profit. The benefit for ticket buyers is they don’t have to wait in line, on their computers, or on the phone for hours months in advance of an event to get a good seat. Instead, customers can find great seats even a couple weeks before an event.

2. Why was I charged immediately for my ticket purchase?
You are charged when an order is placed so as to reserve your place in line for tickets (since we often receive numerous orders simultaneously). On that note, ticketing is a dynamic business (prices rising and falling all the time) so it’s important to claim your ticket early at the price set at the time of the purchase.

3. Will I be charged any service fees on my order?
When you place your order directly through TixCity.com the only additional fee/charge you will see above the cost of the tickets is the shipping & handling fee. We do not charge any per ticket service fees, so you are sure to save money.

Cancellation Policy

1. Can I cancel my order for any reason after I place an order?
The TixCity.com Policies state that all sales are final.

2. Will I get a refund if my event is rescheduled, rained out, or postponed?
No. Our cancellation policy specifically states that all sales are final and refunds are only given for cancelled events that are not rescheduled or postponed. In most cases the tickets for the event postponed will be valid for entry to the postponed event. It is the customer's responsibility to contact Tix City should an event get rescheduled and new tickets are needed to gain entry.

3. If an event is canceled and not rescheduled for a different date, will I receive a refund?
Yes. If your event is cancelled entirely with no rescheduled date, we promise a full refund minus the cost of shipping.

4. Can I return my tickets or exchange them for an event on a different date?
No. Through TixCity.com, there are no refunds or exchanges. All sales are final.
